All About Clear Aligners
Clear aligner systems (like Invisalign® and 3M® Clarity) use a series of customized, clear aligners to gradually straighten your teeth with fewer office visits to our Huntington office than traditional braces. They’re removable, nearly invisible, and customized by Dr. Sheinis for your unique teeth and mouth.
Clear aligners are much more comfortable than traditional metal braces and can give you stunning results.
When you come to Shiney Smiles Orthodontics for your free consultation at our Huntington office, we'll take photos and X-rays to create a 3D image of your mouth.
Dr. Sheinis will make your first set of custom-fitted aligners from these images and then you’ll begin the process of straightening your teeth.
You’ll probably wear clear aligners for 9–15 months, and will typically use 18–30 sets during your treatment with our Shiney Smiles team.
You wear the trays for about 22 hours a day as recommended by Dr. Sheinis, but can remove them to brush your teeth and eat. Based on your individual needs, you’ll wear several sets of trays throughout your orthodontic treatment at Shiney Smiles Orthodontics. You’ll start to notice a change in just a few months!
