Orthodontics runs in the Sheinis family. Dr. Sheinis, the son of an orthodontist, grew up in South Florida. After spending many years watching his father transform smiles, he decided to follow in his footsteps.

Dr. Sheinis received a Bachelor's Degree in Science from Tulane University in New Orleans before attending dental school at the University of Maryland. He graduated with high honor and received numerous awards.

During his orthodontic residency at Stony Brook University in New York, Dr. Sheinis carried out extensive research on impacted canines and their side effects, as seen with 3D imaging. His significant findings were ultimately published in the American Journal of Orthodontics.

Dr. Sheinis is dedicated to staying current in his field. He regularly attends continuing education lectures and seminars to stay up to date with the newest technology and techniques available.

Huntington Clear Aligners

Rather than brackets and bands, the Huntington Invisalign and 3M Clarity clear aligners systems use a series of clear, removable aligners to gradually move the teeth into alignment. This option is incredibly popular with both patients and orthodontists and is currently the top alternative to traditional braces.

Clear aligners are made of a comfortable plastic material and designed to fit snugly over the patient's teeth. The trays are virtually invisible and are usually switched out every 1-2 weeks for the next in the series. This keeps the teeth moving in the right direction! Aligners must be worn 20–22 hours per day throughout treatment in order for them to do their job. Patients who neglect to wear the aligners as directed can have a negative impact on the results and also add time to the orthodontic process.

Invisalign clear aligners are at their most efficient when used to correct many of the most common orthodontic issues. For certain complex cases, clear aligners may not be a viable option. Huntington Braces

Traditional braces are one of the most efficient orthodontic tools we have. The metal or ceramic brackets are attached to the teeth, then connected by wires and tiny rubber bands or elastics. Through regular adjustments with our doctors, these components work together to apply gentle pressure, which will gradually move the teeth into the desired positions.

Because they sometimes work faster at closing gaps and aligning teeth than other options might, overall treatment time can be slightly reduced.
