What is InBrace?
InBrace is a flexible treatment option designed with comfort and discretion in mind. It calls itself the “behind the teeth, teeth-straightener,” and the name fits. Using a custom wire that is placed into brackets glued to the back of your teeth, this method gently pulls your teeth into alignment over time. Like braces, InBrace corrects your smile using a specialized SmartWire. Like Invisalign, it aligns your teeth without attracting notice.
How does it work?
When Dr. Sheinis recommends InBrace, he scans your mouth using a 3D imaging system called a “Toothprint” — clever, huh? This image allows Shiney Smiles Orthodontics to customize your InBrace SmartWire (the name for the special technology that makes up the appliance). Once we craft your SmartWire, Dr. Sheinis applies custom positioned brackets to the back of your teeth, and the custom wire is inserted into the brackets, and voila! You can leave our office showing off your smile. All the while, it’s getting straighter by the day.
While you’re out in the world enjoying your new grin, InBrace is working overtime. The personalized SmartWire gently guides your teeth into place without requiring brackets and wires changes or plastic aligner trays.
