Meet Dr. Michael Sheinis
Your Board-Certified Orthodontist
Orthodontics runs in the Sheinis family. Dr. Sheinis, the son of an orthodontist, grew up in South Florida.
After spending years watching his father transform smiles, he decided to follow in his footsteps and bring joy and confidence to patients all around Huntington, Woodbury, and the surrounding communities of Northport, Jericho, Plainview and Syosset.
Education and Experience
Dr. Sheinis received a Bachelor’s Degree in Science from Tulane University in New Orleans before attending dental school at the University of Maryland. He graduated with high honor and received numerous awards.
During his orthodontic residency at Stony Brook University in New York, Dr. Sheinis carried out extensive research on impacted canines and their side effects, as seen with 3D imaging. His significant findings were published in the American Journal of Orthodontics.
